*facepalm*

So, at some point between yesterday afternoon and this morning, LiveJournal/6Apart attempted to clarify their position on obscene material yet again.

In the fandom community, this went down about as well as serving veal tartare at a PETA rally.

So far, I haven't read any of the posts from 6A yet, nor the specific reactions of people to them; I've only read people posting about their existence in the first place. To be honest, I don't quite feel up to seeing another go-around of venom and spleen.
(As some of you may or may not know, I can have an absolutely foul temper at times, as well as not doing so well at managing my anger as I would like, and I've been working on improving that. One of the ways I've been doing so is to stay away from Internet discussions where there's a lot of anger flying around. I don't know why it is, but whenever lots of people are good and pissed off, it tends to make me good and pissed off too, and so I do try to avoid... non-productive conflict, let's say.)

I sometimes wonder why I'm not so big on going off on a big raging tangent against LiveJournal/6Apart-- do I honestly believe they're doing the right thing, or am I just knee-jerking against the vocal fan-crowd? I honestly can't tell.

And yet, this post at Something Awful made me laugh very, very hard.

(Also, I'm shallowly glad that I'm now able to use a quip about the whole Strikethrough thing that I only thought of earlier this week. Viz:

WHEN SHOTA CHAN ELRIC-CEST IS OUTLAWED
ONLY OUTLAWS WILL WRITE SHOTA CHAN ELRIC-CEST

..and man, if LJ/6A TOS'es my journal for that statement, that'll be irony delivered like Domino's, yo.)
