The 1980's were the birth of the music video as entertainment, and...dare I say it? an art form. Some videos from the 1980's have deservedly entered the mass-consciousness of not only America, but also the world. Some videos from the 1980's pioneered groundbreaking new techniques in directing technology and mise-en-scene.

Some videos from the 1980's achieved the status of art.

This, however, is not one of them.

Because, srsly, when I think of rockabilly, the first thing I think of is a future anti-musical dystopia controlled by guys in pale makeup and black lipstick doing bad mimerobots. And some ginger-head that looks like the offspring of Brandon Teena and that guy from Simply Red, wearing a bad perm and furry boots that Dschinghis Khan would've thrown out. The song is pretty damn catchy, though.
