I've been grading a lot lately, and my brain has somewhat shut down. It's a long, tedious, and frustrating process, and the frustration is making it take longer than it's taken me to grade these portfolios in the past.

Anyway, my weekend:

Went to go see X-Men 2 on Friday, which I found enjoyable. (My boy Wolvy, shnickty shnickty shnick. Aw yeah.)

Saturday, the rearview mirror in my car fell off, so I spent some time at the auto parts store buying a replacement and cementing it on. At least it seems to work now, which is all to the good. And, you know, it's me asserting my manly mechanical skills, or something...

Yesterday, I went to go see Wally Pleasant play at Duffy's, which was a good show and $5 well-spent. (Best part was at the end of "Stupid Day Job," when he sings "I feel so traumatized about my stupid day job that I'm going to start singing like Morrissey"--and then went on to do a mini-Smith's medley. "Stupid day job, aaa-aaaa-aaaahhh, stupid day jobs will stop you..." and so on. I forget just which other songs got referenced, but there were like four or five.)

And today, I'm off to grade, and grade some more, and then grade until I throw up, and then grade until my internal organs collapse in protest, and then I'll grade a little more.
