I picked up both Guitar Hero games last weekend, finally.
(Which is I suppose somewhat lame of me, because instead of going out and putting a real band together, I'm sticking my face in a damn video game all the time. Plus this means I'm not playing FFXII, or hack://infection, or Star Ocean [3?], or buying Rogue Galaxy like I ought. I mean, really, playing Guitar Hero is like when you put on an album on the stereo and pick up your own guitar and play along with the album while looking in the mirror and pretend you're a big-shot rock star.)
(...not that I have done that. Um. Yeah. As the kids these days say, orz.)
Guitar Hero is devilishly hard, but a hell of a lot of fun.
And I am pleased to report that yes, in Guitar Hero 2, you can unlock and play the Trogdor song. ("For squeadlies, mash down on the trembolo. For meadlies, work on the chord progressors. Oh, and I'm awesome.")
Also, there's a bit where you can actually play "Freebird," and the loading screen says "All right, all right, they're NOT just mocking you this time. SIGH."
Still getting pwned by "Psychobilly Freakout." And "Institutionalized." And "YYZ."
(Damn youuuuuuuu Geddy Lee damn youuuuuuuuu)
